About the Program
The South Pacific grom squad is a program designed for children that want to push their surfing to another level. If your child is already surfing and wants to focus on specific elements of their skills while being surrounded by like-minded kids, this is the perfect opportunity for their ocean confidence and surfing level to develop while in a controlled environment.
For each session, we will have 3 instructors present on the day, two in the water with the squad and one on the beach catching all the waves with a high-quality camera which will later be used to analyze each kid’s technique and look for areas in which they can improve.
Before every session, we do land technique and theory before entering the ocean with them. For the remainder of the session, we work with them in the water putting the techniques into practice. The grom squad days are typically Monday to Friday before school 6:30 am to 8 am and we have no set day as we like to select the optimum surf conditions so that your child gets the best out of every lesson.

Safety is our priority
Our goal is to create an environment where your child can learn to surf under the constant supervision of professionals. With three trained instructors present each lesson, we do everything we can to ensure the program is safe.
We also teach our students theory about proper practices, risk assessment and correct/safe techniques.

We run the squad days monday to friday every week, depending on the best day for the squad to ensure we always have good conditions for the kids.
WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE?
The minimum age is 6 and range to 9 for the “micro grom squad” and “grom squad ” ages start from 9 to 16.
WILL MY CHILD BE SAFE?
Our instructors are first aid and surf life saving certified. This means we take all the necessary steps and precautions to maximise safety.
