My daughters have been in South Pacific Surf programmes for the past year - after school and in the school holiday camps, they absolutely love Trav and all the crew.  The instructors are  professional but connect with the kids in such a personal way as well.  Standing on the beach at pick-up time it has been so awesome to see my 2 daughter's confidence in the water, their improvement in technical surf skills and the relationships built with the coaches and other kids. My daughter and I took 4 private lessons during our vacation at Mt.  Maunganui. The lessons with Travis were just amazing.
I didn't believe that I could stand on the surfboard so quickly and really enjoy surfing.  Travis taught me and my daughter the basics of surfing, accompanied closely in the water, instilled confidence, observed, corrected mistakes and all this with a lot of patience and full of charm. The 5 weeks surf sisters programme provided by Travis and his team is fantastic for beginners who wants to tap into surfing club. They are super organised operating each session and the communication is smooth and clear. You will be guided by the most experienced instructors who will give you guidance and advice based on your case. You won’t feel alone and unsafe out there in the blue water because Travis and his team always keep their eyes on us. I really appreciate all the efforts they put into the teaching. I highly recommend Travis and his crew.
He's got heaps of boards (hard and soft tops) that you can hire, the communication with him is perfect, he is very helpful, kind and always tries to accommodate me exactly as I and my friends need.
Until I buy my own board - he will be the one I get in touch with to enjoy the beautiful waves at Mount Maunganui. 🏄🏼‍♀️
